There are lots of free language resources in Internet, and one of the most useful when you're living abroad and want immediate access to a dictionary, is an online translator. This is one of the best, by Google.

Just choose the language combination from the list in the first box (click on the arrow and they will all appear), enter the word or sentence you want to translate into the larger box underneath, and press Go for immediate translation.
