Karlos Arguiñano
is probably Spain's most
famous TV chef. His rustic
restaurant set within a
former castle is in a wonderful
location on the seafront
in the pretty seaside town
of Zarautz.
There is also the 'Hotel
de Arguiñano' set
in an ancient, beautiful
palace called Villa Aiala.
Arguiñano runs two
types of restaurants, one
offers innovative, creative
Basque cusine and the other
offers more tradtional dishes.
Both restaurants use fresh
seasonal ingredients.
Some of the dishes that
have been recommended by
experts include roast peppers,
fish in various types of
sauce, stews...
There is a good selection
of Riojas on the wine list.
