Dos universidades en en norte de Alemania están avanzando en investigación en nanotecnología. La Universidad e Hamburgo recibirá unos 10 millones de euros de la German Research Society (DFG) destinados a la investigación en nanomagnetismo y más de 100 investigadores estudiarán nuevas formas de almacenimiento de datos, entre otras cosas, gracias a esta nueva subvención.

The University of Kiel will also be receiving 1.4 million euros from the Ministry of Science in the state of Schleswig-Holstein. This funding is intended to promote research in nanotechnology at universities. Minister of Science Dietrich Austermann (CDU) announced today that the Innovation Foundation, the University, and the Fraunhofer Institute of Silicon Technology will also be investing another million euros.
