This restaurant is located
in the 'Palacio de Euskalduna'
very near the Guggenheim
Museum part of what is
now known as 'new Bilbao'.
The restaurant, luxuriously
decorated with fabrics
designed by the painter
Joaquín Gallardo,
enjoys excellent views
over the redeveloped area
which was once home to
Bilbao's shipbuilding
industry but now full
of modern buildings, museums,
galleries, bars and cafes.
With one Michelin star
this restaurant is very
popular.
Fernando Canales, influenced
by chefs such as Pedro
Subijana and Ducassees,
is a well known chef and
personality often appearing
on local radio and television
shows. However this popularity
hasn't gone to his head
and he still produces
top quality cuisine and
is not afraid to be innovative
in his creations. This
summer for example there
are 4 set menus to choose
from. There is a section
dedicated to cod dishes
with 4 different choices
and also a section dedicated
to chocolate from Etxanobe.
Mª Ángeles
Elizondo is in charge
of the service which is
very efficient.
