Spanish tapas recipe: Prawns with garlic mayonnaise

Basic ingredients:

  • 50 g mayonnaise
  • 50g large prawns
  • 1 large clove of garlic crushed
  • sea salt
Steps to making Spanish prawns with garlic mayonnaise:

 







 
 



 





 

 





 
 


1. Mix the mayonnaise and crushed garlic in a bowl and set aside

2. Shell the prawns, place on a baking tray

3. sprinkle with a little sea salt and olive oil then place under a medium grill

4. Turn the prawns several times so that they are thoroughly cooked on both sides

5. When the prawns are golden place on a serving dish with the garlic mayonnaise to one side

 

Tips and ideas:

  • You can buy shelled, frozen prawns if you prefer although fresh ones have more flavour
  • Serve with cold dry sherry
  • If you haven't got any mayonnaise handy, you can serve with lemon.
