According to a report published today by the National Institute of Statistics (INE) house prices in Spain fell by 0.9% during the second quarter of this year compared to the same period in 2009. This is a rise of two points compared to the first quarter of 2010.
In accordance with the House Prices Index which is used to track the evolution of house prices the price of new housing fell by 1.7% during the second quarter of this year which is two and a half points less than the fall of 4.2% registered during the first quarter of 2010.
The price of used housing varied very little.
