Through Another Lense

Anyone visiting Alicante this Summer interested in cultural activities may like to know about an interesting exhibition of unique photos which will be running for a month. The exhibition called «Con otra Óptica» (Through another Lense) contains photos taken with old fashioned camaras. It opens today and will continue until 27th July in an Alicante University building in the city centre (Avenida del Doctor Ramón y Cajal,4, see Google Maps), very near to the famous Explanada.

The photos are the work of  Pedro Pernias, Luis Cobos y Enrique Pérez and were taken with camaras made between the 1930s and 1960s restored by the photographers themselves. The aim of the exhibition is to examine what happens when we look at the present through eyes of decades ago, through the lenses designed by people who made history in the world of Photography and Images.
