One person was killed and another seriously injured yesterday in the Josman fireworks factory in Coles (Ourense) which brings the number of people killed in the Josman factory since 1981 up to six.
The explosion killed José Manuel Álvarez Costa, a 43 year old man from Cudeiro in Ourense and injured a 23 year old Venezuelan man Kreimer Ceballos Gómez who suffered serious burns. Álvarez died while he was being taken to hospital by helicopter. Following emergency surgery Ceballos is said to be in a stable condition in hospital.
