A 53 year old man from Leon died last night in hospital from wounds sustained during a night out in fiestas in Sagunto.

The man was gored 8 times by a bull during the fiestas last Saturday night. He was immediately taken to hospital in a serious condition. The incident occurred at about 1 am. According to reports from the local police the man was caught off guard when he thought the bull posed no further danger to himself.

The incident once again calls into question the use of animals in Spanish fiestas and also the safety of revellers.
