But we have also paid atention to the more exuberant side of the Flemings! In our ‘food corner’ you can enjoy pancakes, Flemish tapas, Belgian chocolates and of course our famous Belgian beers. There is also a stand with a typical Dutch speciality: ‘stroopwafels’, treacle waffles.

The oficial opening of the Flemish Day is on Saturday the 7th of november at 10.00 a.m. by Mr. Willy Leeman, the Belgian Consul in Alicante and by Mr. Yves Wantens, the Representative Flanders with the Belgian embassy in Madrid.

While the children enjou themselves in the nursery with a theatre for children, their parents can relax with a snack and a drink while listening to the music of The Blue Tomato Jazz Band from The Blue Tomato Jazz Club in Altea.

In a seperate room there will be the whole day conferences (in Dutch).

The Flemish Day will be concluded by a performance of DANNY, the most popular Flemish singer on the Costa Blanca.
