AVE Madrid-Valencia

The new high speed rail link between Madrid and Valencia will come into service between the 15th and 20th December this year according to José Blanco the Minister for Public Works.

In a television interview Blanco said that the journey on the new AVE high speed railway between the Spanish capital and Valencia would take one hour and twenty minutes one way.

The opening of this new high speed rail link between Madrid and Valencia will convert Spain into the first country in the world in terms of the number of kilometres covered by high speed trains.

The new rail link will have AVE 30 trains built by Talgo-Bombardier travelling at a maximum of 330 kilometres an hour carrying up to 365 passengers.
