The best beaches in Spain

New blog about the best beaches in Spain.

Euroresidentes has several different guides for people travelling to or living in Spain. Our guide to Spain’s best restaurants, guides to Spanish provinces, beautiful places in Spain and hotels in Spain guides are all designed to provide helpful, honest and up-to-date advice to our visitors. This new blog is an extension to our travel guides, and over the next few months we will publish information, news, maps, photos and user experiences (good and bad) about Spain’s beaches.

Although Spain offers visitors much much more than it’s sea, sun and sand image, its dramatic and diverse coastline attracts millions of tourists all year round. Spain is surrounded by the Mediterranean to the east, the Cantabrian Sea to the north and the Atlantic Ocean to the Southeast. The Spanish costas: the Costa del Sol, the Costa Brava, the Costa Blanca, the Costa Calida, the Costa de la Luz, the Costa Cantabrica… are famous throughout the world.

There beaches and coastline to suit everybody’s taste and requirements. Spain’s climatic differences from region to region are reflected in the sheer variety of beaches on offer.

Spain has 7,500 kilometres of coastline and more than 3000 beaches. There are beaches with very cold waters surrounded by steep cliffs, pretty coves with warm waters surrounded by Mediterranean forests, long flat beaches surrounded by sand dunes and vegetation, natural unspoilt beaches, nudist beaches, crowded beaches, wild beaches and hidden beaches. We hope to introduce you to the best. 430 beaches have the EU Blue Flag award, based on the quality of the water and sand, safety levels and facilities.

If you would like to share your experience of a Spanish beach with our users, please send us an email to euroresi@euroresidentes.com
