Los LED polim\u00e9ricos (PLED) se fabrican com\u00fanmente utilizando un proceso de disoluci\u00f3n, que es m\u00e1s sencillo, m\u00e1s barato, m\u00e1s escalable y m\u00e1s vers\u00e1til que el proceso de deposici\u00f3n al vac\u00edo empleado generalmente para construir los LED de mol\u00e9culas peque\u00f1as. Mejorar los PLED, en concreto su eficacia luminosa, ha sido el objetivo del desarrollo y la investigaci\u00f3n sostenida de los \u00faltimos 20 a\u00f1os.
