{"id":6322,"date":"2004-07-25T08:35:00","date_gmt":"2004-07-25T08:35:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.euroresidentes.com\/euroresiuk\/news-spain\/spains-socialist-governments-first-100"},"modified":"2016-03-09T15:28:45","modified_gmt":"2016-03-09T15:28:45","slug":"spains-socialist-governments-first-100","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.euroresidentes.com\/euroresiuk\/news-spain\/spains-socialist-governments-first-100\/","title":{"rendered":"Spain&#8217;s Socialist Government&#8217;s first 100 days in power"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tomorrow&nbsp; 100 days will have passed since Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero&#8217;s Socialist government&#8217;s first day in power, and this morning&nbsp; most&nbsp;Spanish papers&nbsp;make some comment or other about <em>los primeros 100 dias <\/em><em>de Zapatero<\/em>. <\/p>\n<p>El Mundo publishes a survey carried out last week with the following interesting results:<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>52.9% Spaniards have a good or very good opinion of their president and 43% think the Government&#8217;s image is good or very good. 11% think it is poor or very poor.<\/li>\n<li>According to the survey, the majority of Spaniards support all of the&nbsp; major decisions and policies undertaken by the Government since it took power (especially the <a href=\"http:\/\/80.34.125.99\/Blogs\/Spain_News\/2004\/05\/domestic-violence-and-womens-rights-in.htm\">Law against gender violence<\/a>, and the <a href=\"http:\/\/80.34.125.99\/Blogs\/Spain_News\/2004\/04\/spanish-withdrawal-of-troops-from-irak.htm\">withdrawal of Spanish troops from Irak<\/a>). <\/li>\n<li>All members of&nbsp;Rodriguez Zapatero&#8217;s&nbsp;Executive get high marks from the Spaniards interviewed. The best rating goes to Spain&#8217;s first woman vice-president, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.euroresidentes.com\/euroresiuk\/Spanish_Government\/Fernandez_de_la_Vega.htm\">Maria Teresa Fernandez de la Vega<\/a> who scores an unusually high 6.16. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.euroresidentes.com\/euroresiuk\/Spanish_Government\/Pedro_Solbes.htm\">Pedro Solbes<\/a>,&nbsp;Minister for Finance and second Vice President,&nbsp;comes second with 6.12 and the Defence Minister, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.euroresidentes.com\/euroresiuk\/Spanish_Government\/Jose_Bono.htm\">Jose Bono<\/a>, third with 6.02.&nbsp; <\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.euroresidentes.com\/euroresiuk\/Spanish_Government\/Jose_Luis_Zapatero.htm\">President Zapatero <\/a>is the most popular leader of a political party. He scores 6.25.
