Following a meeting of the European Parliamentary Committee on Petitions yesterday, the European Commission confirmed that Brussels will send a delegation of European MPs to Valencia, Spain, to discuss the controversial Valencian Land Laws.<\/p>\n

According to Alicante’s provincial newspaper, Diario El Informaci\u00f3n, the delegation will visit Spain between 31st May and 4th June and will meet with members of Valencia’s regional government to discuss the possibility of EU sanctions being taken if the Government does not modify the land laws.<\/p>\n

The delegation, led by British member of the European Parliament David Lowe, hopes to meet with the President of the Valencian government, Francisco Camps, to discuss how the LRAU could be modified in order to prevent what property owners and the European Parliament consider to be abuses.<\/p>\n

Members of the delegation will also meet with the organization Abusos Urbanisticos No.<\/a><\/p>\n
