The Spanish President, Jos\u00e9 Luis Rodr\u00edguez Zapatero, is preparing for a radical reshuffle of his cabinet. It is believed that the changes expcted to be announced in the next few hours will go much further than the substitution of the Minister for Work, Celstino Corbacho, and will affect up to six ministries.<\/p>\n
According to the latest information available Alfredo P\u00e9rez Rubalcaba will become the first Vice-President \u2013 this post is currently occupied by Mar\u00eda Teresa Fern\u00e1ndez de la Vega. In addition, he will become the government’s spokesperson while keeping hold of his current post as Minister for the Home Office.<\/p>\n
It is rumoured that Trinidad Jim\u00e9nez will substitute Miguel \u00c1ngel Moratinos in the Foreign Ministry and that Leire Paj\u00edn will take charge of the Ministry of Health. It is also believed that Valeriano G\u00f3mez will take over from Celestino Corbacho as Minister for Work.<\/p>\n
