\u00c1ngel Rivera, the spokesperson for the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), has announced that from today a cold front will move into the whole of Spain with snow forecast at 500 metres above sea level. <\/p>\n
Northern areas will be especially affected. Despite mild temperatures for this time of year in Southern parts of the Peninsula temperatures are predicted to fall sharply as from midday today.<\/p>\n
AEMET forecasts that a cold from coming from the Artic will affect Northern parts of Spain placing many parts of the country on high alert for heavy snowfall. <\/p>\n
Maximum temperatures are forecast to fall to by 3\u00baC or 4\u00baC and minimum temperatures by 2\u00baC or 3\u00baC. According to AEMET the coldest day will be Friday. <\/p>\n
At the weekend rainfall is forecast to continue in Cantabria with the arrival of another weather front with snowfall forecast at 1,100 to 1,200 metres above sea level in Southern and Eastern parts of Spain, especially on Sunday. <\/p>\n
