Mercedes Rodríguez García is from Galicia, she lives in Vigo and has a degree in Translating and Interpreting
from the University of Vigo.

on Nanotechnology and the bulletin which we send from our Nanotechnology
section in Euroresidentes to hundreds of subscribers in Spain, Portugal and
Latin America.
She was born and grew up in Porriño, a small industrial city in Pontevedra, 14 kms from Vigo. Like many Galicians she loves travelling and has lived in England, Canada and France. She now lives in Vigo with her dog Kika.
She is very interesting in developments in information technology
and is brilliant at translating articles and scientific texts managing to include
all the details. She is a perfectionist and extremely demanding of herself when
it comes to professional matters.
Friendship is very important to Merchy and loyalty, sincerity and kindness are values which she holds very highly. She loves music, going to the cinema, and art. Her favourite artist is Kandinsky. She also plays the guitar and when she has time composes pieces of music.
She has always liked doing sports and in the past played football and handball, although all she has time for now is taking her dog, Kika, for a walk.
When she was younger she worked for some time as a DJ (at weekends) and she still DJs once a week in one of her friends pubs.
