Spring
One of the nice things about living in Spain is that Spring arrives earlier. This morning the bulbs my mother and son planted in the garden last Autumn are already showing through. But there are an awful lot of flu viruses around at the moment.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOANNE!!

MY FIRST PAELLA
What a disaster!
Who said Spanish cooking was easy? I think we'll be eating our paellas in restaurants in the future. Not even the dog could finish this one!! The rice stuck together, I put too much colorante in and it went orange (so did our teeth after the first mouthful!), the chicken fell apart, and the bottom got burnt and stuck to the bottom of the pan. Oh well - we'll have roast beef next Sunday!!
First day at school
...and it went fine!
The kids are very happy, and even though I can't understand what their teachers say (!!!), the school staff all seem very nice and welcoming.
Blog of new life in Spain: We got here!!
Andrew and I arrived last week. As we stood looking at our villa with an orange tree in the front garden, and a pine grove at the back, we could hardly believe we had actually made the move. We are still surrounded by boxes, and somewhat overwhelmed, but we are pleased that this will be our home for the next year. We don't want to lose touch with all our friends and family, so this blog is dedicated to you, so that we can share our daily life with you all and not feel too far away.
