| This restaurant, with over 3 decades of experience
in the capital, is located very near the Prado Museum, the Retiro Park, la plaza
de Lealtad... The restaurant's history is closely tied to Abrahan García
and it has been said that his kitchen is as exciting as his prose. Author of 'The
Pleasure of Eating' (2004, Síntesis) and 'One hundred recipes to take you
hat off to' (best cookery book prize 1998). Popular among artists, García
Márquez, Delibes, Vargas Llosa, Francisco Umbral, Cela, Saramago, Savater,
Sabina...have all visited this restaurant. Abrahan García's cuisine
impresses everyone and his interest in the world of cookery is undeniable. According
to Patricia Wells from the Herald Tribune: "Eating in Viridiana is like
going up a roller coaster non-stop'. He creates a perfect balance between
innovation and tradition. This restaurant has been described as 'a place where
the diner can experience new dimensions to gastronomy' (Goumetour, 2005). Excellent
service. Superb wine list with a large international selection.
