This restaurant is
in the north of the
city, near the Paseo
de la Castellana and
the Plaza Cuzco. Although
the decor and atmosphere
of this small bistro
doesn't please everybody's
tastes its urban garden
terrace has many fans
during the summer months.
Pitila Mosquera (Galician)
and Carlos Hormaechea
(Basque), opened this
establishment in 1972.
The restaurant is named
after their son, now
the director of the
restaurant.
Sacha Hormaechea runs
a modern kitchen, producing
high quality dishes
for his clients using
simple tried and tested
methods and top quality
ingredients with excellent
results. Daily specials
always a good option.
Varied menu with clear
Galician influences
(not to mention Basque
- Catalan touches).
Laureano López
is the director of the
efficient table service.
Interesting wine list.
Very good liquers. High
prices. reservations
well in advance recommended.
There is another restaurant
belonging to the same
owners in Alcalá
de Henares called Sacha´s
Omelette, Vía
Complutense, 32. Tel:
629 07 27 24.(see
how to get to Alcalá
de Henares from Madrid,
Via Complutense 32).
Here you can try his
famous Spanish omelette.
