| This restaurant is located in la calle Serrano
in the ABC Serrano centre in a building dating back to 1896 when the ABC newspaper
was founded. In fact the restaurant is in one of the most beautiful parts of the
building. Interesting cuisine. Elegant dining room. Pedro Larumbe (with
previous experience working in La Sardina, El Molino in Cantabria) describes his
cuisine as modern but using traditional recipes. He was awarded the National Gastronomic
prize in 1984. Some excellent dishes using top quality ingredients and classic
recipes with some original touches helped by his second chef Jesús Almagro.
The menu changes but some dishes remain constant like the excellent lobster. Over
150 choices on the wine list and very good table service make this restaurant
an attractive option. Pedro Larumbe has also been running la Finca
del Valle restaurant in Madrid since 2003 (N-II, past the airport exit)
- gardens and over 30,000m2 of green areas. In addition Pedro Larumbe works as
a chef in the Restaurante Los Cedros, in the Hotel Quinta de Los Cedros
