Spa
hotels have become more and more popular in Spain over the past decade or
so, and today people wanting to be pampered with all sorts of spa treatments can
find a good spa hotel in most Spanish provinces.
Click here for a list of Spain's most popular
spas (see list below for more detailed reviews of some of the best spas in
Spain).
However, beware of hotels advertising themsel.ves as spa hotels
on the strength of offering visitors a pool, a jacuzzi and a beauty parlour. If
you are looking for a real spa hotel with wellness centres offering a complete
set of spa treatments and packages, check out the hotel's facilities before you
book to avoid possible disappointment.
Some spa hotels do not allow children
to set foot in the spa facilities (including the swimming pool), so check that
out too if you want to share the experience with your children. Most spa hotels
in Spain offer kids clubs, so that parents can enjoy treatments while their children
are being properly cared for and entertained, but some are designed for very small
children i.e. under fives, meaning that older kids may get bored. Ask for details
before you book.
