77 km. from Valencia, this hotel was built on the site of 17th century rice mill and still conserves the tall chimney used to get rid of the smoke caused by the burning of the rice husk. The hotel is a curious mixture of very modern touches and antique objects, many recovered from the old mill itself. The rooms are lovely - very spacious - and the bathrooms are excellent too. Lovely pool and garden and a very good restaurant run independently called "La Verenne". Book a table because it gets very full in the evenings. The only negative thing about the hotel is the service which is terrible. Very, very slow, the receptionist was smoking while we checked in, and very unprofessional and unsuitable for a 4 star hotel.
