Eto'o revolution

Eto'o is on the cover of Rolling Stone's Spanish edition... and in addition, according to blog of Martí Perarnau, the light that guides Barça's ship towards a recovery of its more natural game. With Eto'o in the field Barça is, again, a team with fluidity of ideas. Ronaldinho is not under so much pressure (by the defences and mass media) and the rest of the team has more confidence in victory.

My sensation is that players like Marquez and Edmilson need to be substituted and I think that Gudjohnsen will only play while Eto'o continues recovering from his injury and his declarations.

Gerard is in Guangzhou working as a manager in the chinese office of Critèria (a publishing contents company member of Culture 03). He is a Barça supporter and tells us in his blog (in Catalan) that he can't follow live games. However, the Premier League is avaliable in bars and restaurants but not the Spanish league.
Is anybody in China and can follow the Spanish league on tv?
Now with Internet TV some Spanish newspapers show some summaries...but what happens if you're abroad and want to see your favorite teams?

Barça more leader, Madrid wins with Beckham

Barcelona Football Club got the best out of Ronaldinho who was back in form...and the worst Eto'o in its game against Racing of Santander. With Saviola more distinguished than usual, two goals from Dinho gave Barça 3 points. Messi returned home with an ovation and Eto'o refused to play the last few minutes. So, Oleguer did it, with his Kelme boots. Luckily for Barça, this team has Rijkaard, a good leader, as their trainer . Eto'o's attitude is explained by his desire to play and his belief that he is essential. On the field there's not just one essential player, although if Iniesta is not playing there's no doubt that Barça will notice it. And this week it's certain that a director of Chelsea, Manchester, Liverpool or Arsenal will have noticed Andrés Iniesta.

Real Madrid kept in the battle for the Spanish league and this time over the fickleness of Capello. David Beckham did what he knows so well: run, center, and fight for the ball. Real Sociedad's goalkeeper (Bravo) helped Capello as much as Becks.

Seville is deflated: a tie and thank goodness. Valencia has found a good rival: Bernd Schuster's Getafe has won all their matches year. 3-0 it's not easy to forget. Unless next weekend Valencia beats the leader.

Ramón Calderón: Sorry, I'm so sorry

Eto'o final countdown. Objective: 11th february

Samuel Eto'o to return to training at Barça on thursday.

The player from Cameroon injured in september could reappear on 11th February against Racing of Santander.

However, Frank Rijkaard does not want to precipitate Eto'o returns because it's a very serious injury.

When Eto'o reappears, Gudjohnsen and Saviola will have to dispute a place on the team.

Saviola also spoke yesterday about his contract: "I am not in a hurry. The renewal can arrive at any time. I insist that Barça is my priority, but, with respect, I am not closing the doors to other teams like, for example, Real Madrid ".

David Beckham, still a Real Madrid player explaines in a videoconference his new contract with L os Angeles Galaxy. David has signed a contract for five years with the team chaired by Alexis Lalas. In his presentation, Becks said that he was happy to be able to play in the MLS and that it represented a challenge for him.
